Combined Counties Roundup - 30/10/16

Title chasers Westfield and Hartley Wintney held each other to a 1-1 draw in the biggest fixture of the day, a Dean Stow penalty cancelling out a first half Westfield goal.

Down the bottom end of the table Bedfont and Feltham picked up a rare win against Windsor, but Sutton Common Rovers, Badshot Lea, and Chertsey all lost, to CB Hounslow, Walton and Hersham, and Guildford City respectively.

North Greenford moved above Spelthorne Sports after beating them 2-1, whilst Farnham put some daylight between themselves and the relegation zone with a 2-0 win away to AFC Hayes.

Horley Town, who have 6 games in hand on some of their league rivals, beat newly-promoted Abbey Rangers 2-0, whilst Hanworth Villa won 2-1 at Raynes Park Vale.

The high scoring game of the day in the Premier Division saw Bedfont Sports win 3-1 at Camberley. Division One was much more high-scoring, seeing 3 games with 8 or more goals – the biggest scoreline being Farleigh Rovers’ 6-4 win away at Cove.

Bagshot stay top of the league after a 5-3 win at Balham whilst the chasing pack of AC London and Banstead Athletic also both won: Dorking and Sheerwater their beaten opponents.

Epsom Athletic’s miserable season continued with a 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Worcester Park. Elsewhere South Park Reserves and Redhill played out a crazy 4-4 draw in which both sides had a 2 goal cushion at some point.

Staines Lammas beat Ash United, Cobham beat Frimley Green, and Chessington and Hook drew 2-2 with Eversley and California to round off the weekend’s action.
