A Sutton United Front: An Important Win - Let's Keep It Going

With it having been a month and a half since our last win in the league I think the 3 points against Aldershot were needed, and the result was never really in doubt.
United were dominant early on, but again the theme was one of wastefulness in front of goal - surely Dickson must score sooner rather than later with the chances he’s having.
But rather than letting their early misses get to them Sutton kept pushing and deservedly scored 2 to end up winning with relative ease.
It’s true that the red card for Aldershot’s Jake Gallagher changed the game, but playing against 10 men is still far from easy and it was a thoroughly professional job from those in amber and chocolate.
With the other sides around our position in the table also winning it is important now that another strong performance is put in on Tuesday night against Dover, whose game against Macclesfield on Saturday was abandoned due to fog with the Kent side 1-0 down.
Of course it was only the beginning of October when United were slightly unfortunate to lose 3-1 away to Dover on a Tuesday night.
As well as building up a strong points tally in the league another win midweek would help get the momentum going for the big FA Cup game at the weekend against Cheltenham.
With tickets selling like hot cakes it promises to be a special atmosphere and a special day
