After the disappointment of exiting the FA Trophy at Boreham Wood on Tuesday evening, Sutton return to National League action this Saturday as they travel to Solihull Moors for the second of three consecutive away games.

As Sutton won the National League South last spring, Solihull were clinching the North title, and so it was fitting that the two newly-promoted champions should have met on the opening day of this season. It wasn't an auspicious start for Paul Doswell's men as Moors won 3-1 at Gander Green Lane, centre back Dean Beckwith scoring Sutton's first goal back at this level.

Since then, Solihull's manager Marcus Bignot has moved on to Grimsby Town and two of their players, leading goalscorer Akwasi Asante and midfielder Jamey Osborne, followed him to Grimsby last month. The Moors' new manager Liam McDonald arrived from Hednesford Town in November and has brought in several new players.

Sutton will welcome back midfielders Nicky Bailey and Roarie Deacon and left back Ben Jefford, who have all completed their suspensions. However, Craig Eastmond misses the second game of his three-match ban. Beckwith and winger Bradley Hudson-Odoi may still be sidelined injured by hamstring and calf injuries respectively, while striker Maxime Biamou is also a doubt after hurting himself in the warm-up at Boreham Wood.

Solihull are currently 15th in the table, one place and one point above Sutton, having played two games more. They have won six of their fifteen home matches in the league, while Sutton will be looking to improve on a record of just one away win.
