Sutton United face their longest away trip of the season this Saturday as they travel to Cumbria for a National League fixture at Barrow, their third league game in eight days.
After beating Torquay and Boreham Wood, Sutton will be hoping to make it three wins in a row for the first time since August. Barrow are tough opponents, having gone on a twenty-four match unbeaten run through the final months of 2016, including a 0-0 draw at Gander Green Lane in November. But their recent form has been less impressive, with their three home defeats of the season all coming since the start of 2017. They have only won twice in the league since November, and on Tuesday evening lost 1-0 at Guiseley.
Having spent much of the season in the top five, Barrow have now slipped to eighth, but are still twelve points above Sutton in sixteenth.
Sutton will be missing Craig Eastmond and Simon Downer who each collected a tenth booking of the season against Boreham Wood and so will be suspended for two games. Dean Beckwith is expected to return in place of Downer at centre back, while Bedsente Gomis, Baboye Traore and Adam May are options to replace Eastmond in central midfield. Loanee Will Puddy should continue to deputise for the injured Ross Worner in goal.
Travelling fans might see a Sutton debut for former Crystal Palace winger Kieron Cadogan, though that is dependent on international clearance being received following his recent spell playing in Sweden.
