A Sutton United Front: The Goalscoring Floodgates Are Open

It was great to see the recent goalscoring problems we’ve had well and truly put to bed on Saturday with an excellent 5 goal haul against North Ferriby.
Yes we were playing against one of the division’s bottom sides, but it still takes class to undo anyone at this level in quite such spectacular fashion.
There were plenty of good goals as well – the neat build up to Maxime Biamou’s strike and Kieron Cadogan’s swerving effort that found the net from 20 yards probably the highlights.
The result takes U’s up to 48 points, 8 above the relegation zone, with another 8 games to play.
Realistically survival shouldn’t be an issue from this point, but there can be no complacency as the aim now has to be to push as high up the table as possible, not stopping until the evening of the 29th of April.
Tuesday’s game against Lincoln looks a particularly enticing encounter, pitting together the two sides who achieved wonders in this season’s FA Cup.
The Imps, who currently sit top of the league with Tranmere and Forest Green close by, brought over 600 fans to Boreham Wood last Tuesday night and will be sure to bring a similar number to Gander Green Lane as they look to cheer their lads onto a return to the Football League.
Sutton will of course be looking to spoil the party with another typically strong home performance – Lincoln will certainly not be looking forward to the game with huge pressure on them.
