Over 600 people took advantage of Tooting's free admission offer today and were rewarded by seeing the Terrors maintain top spot in Ryman League South with a hard fought victory over play off hopefuls South Park.

Whilst Tooting had the majority of play in the opening 45 minutes they were only really able to create one clear cut chance, That came approximately 20 minutes in when Mike Dixon made a superb angled run to latch on to a through ball however having got himself into position he was then unable to hit the target as his shot beat the goalkeeper but also the crossbar too.

Tooting started the second half with more purpose and the passing seemed to be a lot crisper and more accurate than it had in the opening period. The breakthrough came on 59 minutes when Mike Dixon slotted the ball home from close range after some good work down the left hand side. There were some nervous moments for the Terrors though which saw the visitors almost equalise when a goal line clearance from Billy Dunn hit a post and bounced back across the face of goal before being cleared to safety. However the game was sealed in the 78th minute when substitute Jack Mazzone swept the ball home from 8 yards out following some great work down the right from Dan Clements.
