Saturday’s performance was an absolute joy to watch, scintillating attacking football with four of the best goals you’ll see in a long time.
With over 2000 people in the ground you’d have thought any home fans without season tickets for next season would be instantly convinced to get them.
I do honestly believe that £99 to watch an exciting National League side on an excellent pitch is one of the best deals in football, barring of course the £20 teenage season ticket that I am lucky enough to have!
The club really does deserve a lot of credit for the initiatives it has taken to nearly quadruple average attendance in just a couple of years, as well as boosting plenty of other community aspects at the same time – the success of the community team this year for example is excellent to see.
As the Oxford City trip was last season, the visit to Macclesfield on the final day promises to be a great celebration of another excellent season for the club.
Whilst there is technically nothing to play for a win would guarantee a top half finish, as well as giving the travelling supporters something to cheer about in a season where away form hasn’t been as good as it could have been.
Indeed looking at the tables currently on our home record we’d be in a playoff position – if away form can be sufficiently worked on next season with home form kept at the same level pushing for the playoffs could be a real possibility
