A Sutton United Front: Referee Frustration Again

Woking has not been a happy hunting ground for Sutton in recent years, and the trend continued on Saturday in a familiar frustrating fashion.
Not for the first time this season the officiating was questionable as the home side took the lead from a goal that looked an awfully long way offside.
As the game dragged on and Woking looked to waste more and more time the referee simply lost control, and the 7 minutes added was kind on the hosts.
Despite the defeat you have to look at the table at roughly a quarter of the way through the season, and say that 19 points and 4th place is a good place to be.
The table is so tight a couple of wins on the trot could move U’s top, a couple of defeats moving us right into the bottom half.
It’s true the table won’t really take shape until well after Christmas, but based on the quality of football I’ve witnessed so far this season I’d say the playoffs are a reasonable target.
In a bizarre reverse of last season we’re now saying we need to improve our home form to stay where we want to be in the table.
Barrow’s away form is far from fantastic – they’re without a win in 5 on the road this season.
However they will be tough to break down; reflected in the fact they’ve not conceded more than 1 goal a game in their last 7 league games.
Doswell has plenty of attacking options at his disposal though as U’s look to be the one to unlock the Cumbrian side’s defence.
